Visibility Models
The three ways Traqer measures brand-level visibility and why it matters.
Traqer offers three ways to measure your brand-level visibility. You can switch between them using the dropdown at the top of your brand overview page.
## Why Most Visibility Metrics Are Misleading
Most AI visibility tools give you a single percentage across all models and all prompts. That approach has problems. It averages out real differences between LLMs, and it can be easily manipulated: delete the prompts you're not visible for and the number goes up. Start tracking ambitious new topics and prompts that you aren’t yet visible for, and the number goes down, even though your actual visibility hasn't changed at all. This discourages marketing teams from expanding their tracking and makes it easy to game the metric.
To fix this, in addition to the simple LLM Visibility % that all tools have, Traqer also has two additional measures of brand visibility that cannot be manipulated and give a more accurate picture of overall brand visibility.
## LLM Visibility %
This shows what percentage of your total tracked prompts you're visible in, broken out by LLM. It's the closest to what other tools offer, but with one important difference: Traqer shows it per model instead of averaging into a single score. This matters because visibility varies significantly across LLMs. Perplexity and Google AI Overviews are essentially search result summarizers, so brands with strong SEO tend to show higher visibility there. ChatGPT relies more on its training data, so visibility often looks quite different. A single blended score hides that.

Note: this model still has the same denominator problem described above. If you add prompts you're not yet visible for, the percentage drops.
## LLM Visibility Count
This simply counts the number of prompts where your brand appears, per LLM. Click Show Graph to see how that count changes over time.

This solves the denominator problem. If you add a hundred new prompts you don't have visibility for yet, none of these numbers go down. They only go up when you actually gain visibility on new prompts. Thus it gives you a cleaner signal of real progress.
## Topic Visibility
This counts how many of your topics have visibility across the selected LLMs:
- **Some Visibility (>0%):** The number of topics where your brand appears in at least one prompt, across each selected LLM.
- **High Visibility (>50%):** The number of topics where your brand appears in more than half the prompts, across each selected LLM.
Note that Some Visibility includes the topics counted in High Visibility, so it will always be equal to or higher than the High Visibility number.
This is one of the most accurate ways to measure brand visibility because it operates at the topic level, which reflects how AI visibility actually works (read more: [Topic-based GEO](https://www.growandconvert.com/ai/topic-based-geo/)). The goal over time is to grow both numbers: more topics with at least some visibility, and more topics with high visibility.
This metric also can't be easily gamed. Removing low-visibility topics doesn't improve either number, and adding new topics you're not yet visible for doesn't reduce them.
